God Is Amazing!

“When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!” {Psalm 8:3-9}

God truly is amazing. Think about it:

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet…

He has put everything He has created under our dominion – even the principalities of this world because of His great love for us. He gave His life at the cross, hung there, bled and died so that not only do we have dominion over the physical things of this earth, we also have dominion over the spiritual things. We don’t have to take what Satan throws at us lying down. We can come against his evil devices against us through the blood of Jesus and through His powerful name. We have access to the heavenly realm, not just the earthly realm. Through Jesus Christ we are powerful beings. Truly God is amazing! I can never thank Him enough.

Whenever I am racked with fears and insecurities all I need to do is talk to the Lord and He is always there to comfort me. Often times He shows me it’s the enemy Satan who is attacking me with these fearful thoughts. This shows me that I don’t have to accept my fears. I don’t have to keep rationalizing and keep trying to fight against my fears. All I need to do is rebuke Satan in the name of Jesus and he flees. My fears disappear with him. It is amazing.

The Bible states, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” [2 Timothy 1:7}

This is how I know when it’s time for me to talk to the Lord again and connect with Him, when my mind is troubled. Since the Lord has not given us the spirit of fear but of a sound mind then I know having a troubled mind is not of Him. It’s time to get reinforcement and get connected with the Lord again. Isaiah stated:

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. {Isaiah 26:3}

Truly the Lord is wonderful. If I connect with Him all the time and believe in His love for me, He will keep me in perfect peace.

He does not want us troubled or worrying about anything, not even about our future. He said, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” {Matthew 6:34} He even said, “…Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.” {Luke 12:22} The truth is everything we could ever need in this life the Lord can give to us. He will provide for us, all we have to do is ask and wait for Him to respond. We do not need to worry, all we have to do is just ask – in faith, believing in His great love for us. Then wait. Part of believing the Lord and practicing our faith in Him is in waiting for Him. We can’t possibly believe in Him if after we ask Him to provide for us or to heal us or to grant us whatever we desire, we turn around and figure out how to attain it on our own. Part of faith is waiting on the Lord to grant it to us. In the meantime we love Him, we praise Him and we try to learn His voice and listen to know what He is saying to us. Listen for His instruction to us. He will let us know His voice for sure. He will let us know what we need to do. If we seek for Him with all of our hearts we will know, because He said we will find Him.

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” {Jeremiah 29:13}

God is truly amazing! I love Him so much. He has not made this hard for us at all to find His peace and His presence. All we have to do is talk to Him and believe that He hears us, then wait on Him to respond. How long? As long as we need to until He responds. We don’t stop waiting until He responds to us.

Sometimes it’s upsetting to hear people talk about God and assume what He is going to do. Some say, “The end of the world is here! Jesus is coming!” Others are saying, “The Messiah is not going to come until we’re all good.” Instead of finding it out themselves by talking to Him and reading His word and asking Him if He is coming or even what He meant in His word, they make their own interpretation of what God meant instead. So many times this leads to more confusion. It doesn’t answer our questions at all. It just pacifies us for a moment. Why not ask Him? Why not dare yourself to ask Him whatever it is you desire to know from Him?

God gave His life for us because He loves us so much. We don’t have to be clueless about Him. He said to come to Him and to seek Him and know Him. We don’t have to figure out the spiritual world on our own. If we have questions all we need to do is ask the Lord. There is nothing that is too challenging for the Lord. If you want Him to prove Himself to you, that He is true and real, just ask Him. He’s not afraid of anyone or anything. Just ask. And anyway, anything you’ve been thinking of He already knows. There is nothing we can hide from Him, so you might as well ask Him. He likes being asked. It shows faith in His love for us.

I love the Lord so much. Again and again I have found Him to be true and real. Again and again when I dare myself to come out and just say what I’ve been wanting to say to the Lord, or have been wondering in my heart to ask the Lord, He comes through for me with His answer. It definitely takes patience and a continual drawing and talking to Him to come to know what He is saying. It takes consistency of listening, learning to know His voice. It takes practice. His word said that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. His desire is to reveal Himself to us. He will not withhold Himself to anyone who really wants Him.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” {Hebrews 11:6}

Who am I indeed that God should care and love me so much that He would die for me? Who am I that He should fill me with His Spirit and call me His daughter, His child? He, who is holy and pure and perfect – without spot or any blemish? Why should He care about me? Yet He does. Every time I talk to Him, He lets me know He loves me and cares for me very much. All I have to do is talk to Him and He’s there. I may not see Him physically but I can certainly see Him in my spirit and touch Him in my soul. I can connect with Him and be one with Him with my heart and soul. Whenever I say, “Jesus, I love You. You mean so much to me. I thank You for always being there for me and for being so good and so gracious to me…” He’s there, responding back to me with His presence, and I can feel His love deep down within my soul satisfying me. He fills me through and through! There is no one like Jesus. He is truly gracious and merciful. He is truly amazing. I love Him so much!

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” {1 John 3:1-3}

Prayer

Lord, I love You. Thank You so much Lord Jesus for Your grace and compassion upon my soul. For again and again when I talk to You and call upon You, You are always there. You promised to never leave me or forsake me and I find this to be true. I thank You so much Jesus for being so true and faithful. I thank You with all my heart.

Father, please help us, your people today to fight against the principalities of this world and not succumb to the world’s ideologies and teachings about how we should live our lives today. So many of us are filled with fear and terrorized by the evils that are surrounding us. Everywhere we turn it’s bad news. Please Jesus save us!

Your word said that You have not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, of love and of a sound mind. Your word also said that if we keep our minds upon You we will be in perfect peace. Please Jesus, help us to fight against these lies that come against us that cause us to fear, to cower, and to try to figure out how to save ourselves as if You’re not there at all. No one else can do a better job at saving us than You! Please Jesus, let us remember You. Help us to have faith in You. Let us not forget that You will never leave us nor forsake us. Please help us not to forget that all we need to do is cry out to You and talk to You whenever we’re in trouble. You will come, I know You will come if we only believe, trust, and wait on You. I ask all these things in Your most powerful and precious name, Jesus. I thank You, Father. Amen.
