Turn Your Failures Into Success

Listen to Podcast

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me. {Galatians 2:20}

You know how to turn your failures into success? It’s by accepting that you will fail and will never be anything, except through Jesus Christ. That’s it in a nutshell. When we learn to take our eyes off ourselves and look to the Lord for everything, that’s when all of the things we have failed at will become a success for us. The things that have been bringing us down and telling us we’re failures, can turn around and become our springboard for more greatness in Him. Again and again I have learned that when I turn to the Lord in times of my failures and in times of my weaknesses, and I make Him my strength and I make Him my hope for a better future, the things that I thought were failures turn into my success. The things that I thought we’re horrible setbacks the Lord has turned around to bless my life.

Take for example five years ago when I got laid off from my job. My bosses felt sorry for letting me go and were very apologetic that they were letting me go. The company had not been doing well financially and they needed to cut several positions. My coworkers felt sorry for me. My assistant was crying when I saw her and she hugged me and began crying on my neck. I felt so sorry for her for crying for my sake. I’m sure in the eyes of the world I was failing big time. But for me it was the best thing that could have ever happened to me in a long time. I knew it was the Lord’s doing and it was marvelous in my eyes. Even though I didn’t know what I was going to do next, or what was going to happen to me, I knew that the Lord would take care of it for me. I kept my eyes on the Lord and not on myself. I talked to Him and spent time with Him in prayer for my guidance and my strength, because I knew it was the only way I was going to stay happy and sane. Whenever I take my eyes off Him and I start to look at myself, I would start to worry about what was going to happen to me without a job or any income coming in as my husband was also unemployed at this time! I knew that the Lord was calling me to do His work and I knew I had to trust in Him to supply all my needs. Yes, it takes faith to trust in the Lord. It takes constant coming to the Lord to keep our eyes on Him. But it is so worth it.

Who would have thought that in the five years since I left my job that I would be writing a book, creating my website and blogging, and adding almost 200 songs to my repertoire and uploading and sharing some of them on my website? Not to mention having more of Jesus in my life, more knowledge of Him and a closer walk with Him. I got to spend more time with Him and in His word. This has been my prayer all these years, to spend more time with the Lord. The Lord has turned my failure into success. The Lord also provided for me through giving my husband a great job that he loves and would supply all our needs. I could do the work of the Lord freely now. The Lord did it for me when I learned to look to Him and surrendered my life and my failures to Him.

Nothing is too hard for Jesus. If we learn to keep our eyes on Him and off ourselves, every failure we encounter in this life can turn around to bless us instead. Our failures instead of defeating us, can propel us to that next level that Jesus wants for us. Without Him we can do nothing. We need Him. Look to Jesus and let Him turn everything around and make your failures into success. He did it for me, He will do it for you too.

And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. {2 Corinthians 12:9}

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing. {John 15:5}

Prayer

Father, I thank You that with You nothing is impossible. If we learn to keep our eyes on You, anything and everything is possible. You are faithful and You are true. You will never leave us nor forsake us. You will be with us until the end.

Help us Lord Jesus to keep our eyes on You. Help us please Lord to turn our failures, even the things that we’re struggling with in our walk with You, into Your care. We are not alone in our struggles to be perfect with You. We are not alone in our struggles in this life to please You. You are ever with us. Even with this challenge in our life to be holy before You I know You will help us. So please Jesus, help us then to learn to hand all of our failures, all of our struggles, and all of our hopes and dreams to You. You love us so much and there is nothing that You will not do for us if we learn to trust in You. You know how to work all things out for our good. I ask all these things in Your most wonderful and precious name, Jesus. Thank You, Father. Amen.
