“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.” {Daniel 7:25-27}
Our world is getting crazier and crazier, scarier and scarier. Everywhere you turn on the news there are just dreadful things happening. You start to wonder if it’s all ever going to end, and if we’re ever going to have the peace and love and wonderful things in life that we’re looking for. We don’t mind a little tiny problem as long as we’re assured of a solution to it, but when it comes to a pandemic like Covid-19, well enough is enough already. Please, let it end.
Unfortunately this is exactly what the scripture in Daniel 7:25 prophesied to us. It said,
“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.“
Satan has been given the power to change times and laws, and the power to wear out the saints of God. This is exactly what he is doing and hoping to accomplish in this world and in our lives. He wants us to feel like it’s just going to get worse and worse, and that there will be no end to this pandemic and all these disasters in the world. Satan wants us to end up feeling so discouraged and so worn out that we will start to wonder about God and His love for us, hoping he will turn us against the Lord. That we will start to blame God for all the awful things that are happening to us. It’s just the natural thing to do. God loves us, He cares for us, and He wants what is good for us. Why then in the world are these things happening to us if He truly loves us? Why is He letting all these things happen in our world today? Well, why does He? Simply put, because we’re letting it happen. Yes, you and I are letting it happen. We accept it instead of putting up a fight against it. I’m not talking about fighting in the flesh. I’m talking about fighting in the spirit through God. We think we have no power at all, none whatsoever, so we just accept it. We think it’s all God’s business and we have no say in the matter at all. We’ll just mosey along and let God fight with Satan and if God loses He loses, what do we have to do with anything? If Satan wants to destroy mankind, so be it. We’ll just let him raid our homes, destroy our world, and steal all our happiness away. We have no power, so why fight at all? After all, it’s been prophesied. Why fight it? Where’s our chance against him anyway?
Yes, God has set the time and season in this life. All of these things that are happening to our world are destined to happen, because of the the actions of man and Satan. It’s been foretold. It’s written in the scriptures. However, God didn’t say this is what man will do and he has no choice about it, for after all God has given man his free will. We are not a puppet of God. But rather God looked at the beginning and the end of mankind, and saw what man was going to end up doing in the world He created and gave to him. Based on man’s actions, God comes in and intervenes. If man reaches out to God, he is helped. If man will not reach out to Him, he will not be helped. Unfortunately it seems to happen again and again that as it was in the time of Noah, so it will be in the last days. Man will not want to do what God wants for him to do. Man is going to keep doing what he wants to do, even if in the end he destroys himself and others along with him. He doesn’t want to reach out to God and be told what to do. But the saints of God are in the midst of this warfare between man and Satan. The saints of God, you and I, have a great say in this matter. We are not powerless at all as you may think or feel. We indeed have a great say in what is happening in this world today. We just don’t see it because Satan has blinded so many of us to believe that we have no power with God at all.
We’re more powerful than you and I can imagine. It’s the prayers of the saints of God that has given us this power. It’s the love of God for His people. God’s not going to let Satan have the dominion forever. No siree. Satan has an end. God is going to take away his dominion and his power over this world, and will give this kingdom to the saints of God.
“But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High…“
Yes, the saints of God, you and I, are the ones who are going to end up having the rule over all the principalities of this world. We are that powerful, if you can just see it and if you can just imagine it and believe it in your mind. It is actually happening now. It’s not just going to be given to us in the future, He’s already given it to us. God after all, already came down and became a man and revealed Himself to us through Jesus Christ. He died and rose again after the third day for the remissions of our sins, to give us life and power with Him. It’s not just an angel that came down and gave his life for mankind, it was God Himself: the most powerful being in the whole entire world and the entire universe. When you are sided with God and loved by Him, who then can have more power over you? No one. Not even Satan himself can win over you. We are that powerful because God Himself loves us.
That’s why I said if there’s anything wrong in our world today it is because of us. We’re sitting idly thinking still that Satan has the final say. We’ve got to put an end to this thinking and start fighting in the spirit. We need to tell God about these things that are happening in our world. We need to cry out to Him. We need to pour out our hearts and soul to Him, and tell Him what we would like for Him to do for us and for our world. He then will come in and do something about it. He is looking for us to tell Him what we want to happen. He is looking for us to intervene and tell Him what we desire for Him to do. It’s through us He will work the work He wants to accomplish in this world. But we’ve got to be a part of His great plan to save mankind and to lift him up. We’ve got to let Him know, because He gave His life for us and loves us so much. He has given this world to us, to His people.
No matter what happens, God is in control but He is looking to you and me to let Him come in and work on our behalf. He has given the world to Adam and Eve, therefore to the human race. He said to Adam and Eve in the beginning,
“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” {Genesis 1:28}
But when sin came, because Adam and Eve listened to Satan to beguile them, Satan started acting like he has the final say to the whole human race. We spiritually through sin gave Satan the power to dominate us. God couldn’t get through to us by His prophets and His servants to tell us it’s all a lie. God Himself had to come down and do something about it, and purchased us back to Himself through the shedding of His precious blood at the cross at Calvary. God overcame Satan at the cross. He took away Satan’s power over this world, that truly belonged to us from the beginning of time, and gave it back to us. So today, not only can we find forgiveness of sins, in God we are given the power to live for Him. To be holy and righteous before Him, so that Satan does not have any more say or any power over us anymore. If we sin, because there’s no one righteous that sinneth not, as the scripture states, {Ecclesiastes 7:20} we have an advocate with the Father, through Jesus Christ. {1 John 2:1} All we have to do is confess our sins to God, repent, and ask for His forgiveness and we are once again accepted by Him. It is over. Satan no longer has power over us. When we have the Spirit of God living inside our bodies – our hearts and our souls, Satan can only wish he had power over us. We have to stop handing him that power.
So as saints of God, what can we do? Do we just accept things as they are because it’s been foretold in the scriptures that it’s going to get worse and crazier in the last days? I hope not. We absolutely must do something about it. We need to pray. We must intercede. We must cry out to God and tell Him what we’re feeling inside. We’re not just going to lay down and die. We’re going to get God to come in and intervene on our behalf. It’s done. It’s been given to us. This kingdom is ours. Jesus tells us,
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” {Luke 10:19}
God loves us so much. He has given everything for us. He has not allowed things to go wrong in our lives because He wants to torture us or to punish us, and make us unhappy. It happens because man’s desires are more often than not contrary to God, and man makes decisions that hurt other souls. Satan on top of that is in a rage to destroy mankind. And if Satan can find people to do his will, the more the better for him. But thank God that in the end, the Lord is truly the one in control of this life. He is in control and can wonderfully accomplish His will through us, who truly desires His will and His goodness.
Just because things are getting crazier and scarier doesn’t mean we just accept it. It is time to start believing in God’s love for us and let Him have the final say in our world. He has given us the power over this world through His name. Because He loves us so much and gave His life for us, all we need to do is tell Him what we desire for Him to do for us here, and ask Him to have His way in our world. He is in the one who is in control. He is in the one who is taking Satan’s dominion and kingdom away from him. We just need to ask the Lord to intervene in our behalf. We just need to talk to Him and ask Him to have His way in our lives.
“The most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.” {Daniel 4:32}
“And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?” {Daniel 4:35}
“He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth…” {Daniel 6:27}
“That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.” {Psalm 83:18}
“And upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” {Matthew 16:18}
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” {John 16:33}
“Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.” {Psalm 46:2-3, 7}
Prayer
Father, I thank You that You never, ever change. You are my God who is still the same as You were yesterday, today and will be forever. I thank You for Your great love for me in this life. I thank You for Your great sacrifice at the cross at Calvary to save me from all my sins, and from the power of Satan and the principalities of this world. Thank You, Father that through You I can overcome this world.
Father, I pray that Your will be done on this earth as it is in heaven. Please Lord Jesus, have Your way upon this life. Save people. Send Your Spirit upon all flesh. Save us and have mercy upon us and forgive us. Send us help in this time of confusion and hurt and fear. Our world is hurting and there is so much that is afflicting us. Please put an end to this pandemic we’re experiencing and to the brokenness that our world is going through. We need You Jesus, please have Your way in our lives and bring our hearts back to You. Heal our world. Heal our land. Heal our soul and spirit today, please Father, bring healing everywhere I pray, in Your most wonderful name Jesus. Thank You, Father. Amen.
