You Are My Comfort (Song)

Whenever I feel sad and hurting I always turn to the Lord to comfort me. Many times He comforts me through a song. This is a song I wrote back in January of 2016 during a painful time for me, which the Lord has comforted me with. I hope and pray that this song will also help someone out there. May the Lord Jesus Christ and His love comfort you through this song. Please reach out to Him and talk to Him, there is nothing too hard for Him. He is always waiting for us to talk to Him. God bless you.

{To hear the song please see podcast: You Are My Comfort}

Chorus:

You are my comfort

You are my shelter

When I am weary, oh Lord

In all of my sorrow

You are my comfort

You are my shelter

When I am hurting, oh Lord

You are my comfort

Verse 1:

Lord, You’re always there

When I kneel in prayer

When I turn to You

I can find You there

There’s no one else that cares

And loves me like You do

Oh, You are always there

To answer prayers

Verse 2:

Lord, my need is You

For You to carry me

For You are always true

When there’s no one else

I can find You there

When I kneel in prayer

Oh, You are always there

To answer prayers

Bridge:

I love You

I love You

I love You, Jesus

I love You

I love You

Oh, You are always there

To answer prayers
